Palmshed is designed to collect as little information as possible.

When browsing

• No analytics.
• No advertising.
• No tracking cookies.
• No third-party trackers.
• No browsing history is collected.

When signing in

Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in with GitHub, the website stores a small amount of information in your browser so your session can be remembered:

• display name
• GitHub username
• avatar
• authentication provider

This information remains on your device until you sign out or clear your browser storage.

Temporary data is also used during sign-in to protect against request forgery and to return you to the page you were viewing.

No server-side session is maintained.

Philosophy

Collect only what is necessary. Store only what belongs to the visitor. Track nothing.
